Spark!

A week plus after Spark programme, I finally have the time to flashback and blog about it. Sorry for the emptiness =P

Spark! is another exciting program under the DiGi Managing Mindsets initiative.
Spark! is a 5-day, 4-night stay-away program. It is designed to spark original and creative thinking amongst Malaysian pre-university youth between 17 to 19 years old. Why? You are our next generation of leaders and managers, that’s why!
Spark! is intended to help you, as the participant, better understand and prepare you for the choices in the world that lie ahead of you.
From the moment you arrive, until the moment you leave, you will have your notions shattered and will continuously be challenged to be different. Spark! provides a safe space to explore an alternative base of learning.
The program will provide participants with:

  • Insights into DiGi’s mindset and work culture .

  • Knowledge of non-traditional approaches to life and career.

  • Greater awareness and respect to living in a multicultural society.

Was quite sudden to go for this, because I was asked to submit on 17th in within an hour. I followed their instructions, till I was informed that I got chosen in the next 3 hours. Wow... thats really sudden and I really didnt expect myself to be selected and to think of the consequences of going to this camp.., someone will definitely be angry on me. =(

Oh well, since I gave it a try and submitted a blog, it means I wanna participate in it too. I want to obtain more skills, to be a better person and to be able to lead my future team well. I have to say that I got no regrets after going through ... or shld I say, sparking through the programme? I really had fun in it... other than getting all those goodies =X

Stay tuned for more on Spark!

A trip to Genting

The Genting trip was on 15th of August. Everyone was well aware of it, so they PLANNED not to go to school. I wanted to skip school too, but I still have to distribute the photo stickers that the customers ordered and happy to say, most of them are satisfied =) Those who has chosen the photo sticker service must say 'thank you very much' to michelle and brandon because you all wouldnt get a better quality product than the previous one if they didnt give me their true comments. ( it sounded like scolding me, but if u think of it from customer's aspect, what michelle and brandon said has awaken me because they are right, so I wanna say thanks too =D)

The teachers in class werent happy with me for the past few days since I didnt enter the class at all =( It has been tiring with the sleepless nights, thank god the genting trip followed up so I get to enjoy after all the hardwork =)

Its actually fun to go genting with your schoolmates and friends because they are of your same age and there wont be any curfew haha. I dared myself to take all the scary rides and I found out that its actually fun =)

Gonna upload pictures soon when I got them from my friends. They will help me speak those thousand words instead of me typing them out. Going to DigiSpark's camp tomorrow. Too sudden and I kinda worried that you and me will quarrel again when it comes to the time we can spend together. This is a chance that I wouldnt wanna miss too so I hope you wont get angry If i go.

Will blog about it when I m back on Friday. Cya all~

Nice Date

I was so sorry to tell you that I am going to school just to check stock for co-op on Saturday. Not only you have to make a change in your plans, I have to replan what I have already planned too. I knew you weren't happy with the sudden news; Me myself was really disappointed too. I thank you really much for being understanding and allowed changes in our plan =)
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Today is seriously a tiring day thanks to stock checking in co-op. There was lots of thing to count and arrange, creating the motive to sleep when I reached home in my mind. The urge to sleep got stronger when I have to prepare a new and better samples for Sticker Photo Service just to impress Michelle and Brandon, the VIPs. We were snapping pictures in library till school ends. Hope those pictures has what I need. I fall asleep in my uncle's car on the way home. =/

Fortunately, uncle fetched me to 1u so I dont have to cycle there orelse I will be sweating abit. Sorry for making you walk alone in 1u before I came =( I can feel energy and excitement pouring in when I saw you so all my fatigueness disappeared at that moment. I enjoyed listening to your complains about one of your classmates when we were eating in 3JC. We watched The Mummy together and I think you and me had a great time in the cinema *winks* ^^

We caught up with some of my friends in the CC near U bowl and I was quite guilty to make you wait for me to play a game of CS with my friends =( I wanna thank you for being patient by sitting next to me quietly when I m playing games because thats a great support that I felt from you today ^^ Somehow I wondered why you dont feel like 'dreaming' in DreamWorld today. Were you concerned about the price or were you worried that you wont look nice with the pimples on ur cheeck? Dont worry, I will pay and I m sure u will look as beautiful as you used to be even with your pimples on =)

I m starting to be a 'Dreamer' in DreamWorld because they managed to capture the beautiful moments of you. The results turned out to be better to me if you wanna compare the previous one to now. Your getting beautiful, My dear'~ Muacks!~ <3

We had a great dinner in OldTown CAfe. Why are we there when we are not even old? We are just too young to go la~ thats for uncle and auntie only xD but nevermind la cause we might be going there till we became uncle and auntie ^_^ The food that you ordered for me tasted really great... so dont ever worry that the food you ordered for me will not suite my taste because I trust your taste. A fussy person's taste will always be on a higher level than those who says "chin-cai la".

After dinner, you said you are supposed to go home already so I escorted you home. You showed me the cute teddy bear that you desire, the but I am not able to buy it so I kept quiet. *will think of a way* We turned into Popular since you wanted to buy a new highlighter. We spent a few minutes there, but it means alot to me just by holding your hands and walk around in Popular just to look for highlighter. It gaves me a special feeling that I cant describe with just a word. Shopping with you can be really fun when you smiled happily after getting the goods that you need or desire and thats what I want---- to go shopping with you =)

When we were waiting for the Taxi, I was quite happy too when I saw a long snake line waiting for taxi.*evil thoughts... ehehe* This means I still have time to be with you till the taxi come =) Have I ever told you that your hair smells really good? Its fun to be played with too. I shall not let anyone cut your nice hair >< At last, the taxi came and actually.... A good bye kiss is not enough to satisfy me. *being greedy~grins~*

I really had a fun time today even though the time we spent together wasnt that long compared to previous dates. Its some awesome date! =D I hope you had a great time with me too because thats what I always wanted to hear from you. Sorry for not able to meet you tomorrow. Had to finish up all my things so that I can hand them in on Monday.

Hope your happy today =)

After School Meetings

I repeat, I wasn.t that active in co-curriculum during my secondary sch life so its the first year where I have to start staying back after school for meeting.

After School Meeting is quite fun for me, probably its because i m still new in the committee and there are lots of thing for me to learn or staying back is just fun. I enjoy it =)

However, staying back means sacrificing some after school time to be in school. Since I cant drive, I have to depend on my uncle everyday to fetch me home. Thats the drawback of staying back. Waiting in the gazobe till 3.30 every weekday is so not fun because I m wasting time just by standing there without doing anything.

I really wish I can drive....

Sweet Water~<3

Its Thursday,

The day where we used to meet before our tuition,

Even though we has surpassed this day lots of time,

I still think today is meaningful and fresh in mind,

Having different incidents happening on different Thursday,

I can remember them clearly as though they just happened today.

Being late for today's date,

I m really sorry about it,

Will try not to repeat it again,

As time is limited and precious for both of us.

Naming all the places that we can go,

You still prefer the favourite place that we used to hang out,

Always that windy and shady just for us,

Its our oasis located in the middle of the city.

It was so exciting to sit so close next to you,

As decent smell from your hair has made my nose boost its function,

Making me soft and drunk,

Almost mistaken you as my bolster because you were just so quiet when your in my hug.

We have always been chatting happily

Without any barrier or restriction,

so as this time,

Till we got so thirsty and I started to ask for water.

You were so great,

Sharing your sweet water that you prepared on your own,

Together with me,

Making me feel so touched and happy,

Till we didnt realize that two gardeners were just nearby approaching us.

The sweet water was limited,

But it taste greater than the previous one,

As I can use fireworks and baskin robbin

to describe how wonderful it was when its in my mouth,

Making me urge for more.

Too bad you ran out of it,

but I m okay with it,

because good things will never be enough,

Thats why we should learn how to treasure it when its in our hands.

I will give you mine next time... I promise =)

F0rM SiX : Volume 1

I guess its gonna be once a week update in my blog from now on. Going online for more than an hour during weekdays is not good plus I cant possibly update my blog everyday unless some extraordinary thing happened so I have decided to update this weekly.

My school life sure is busy when I reached form 6. I remember I used to be a quiet and inactive student ever since form 1 till form 5 but after I have came back from ns, things have changed and I m no longer the old me again. Oh Yesssss, I m now the Reborn Chong De or what I used to honour myself during ns: original CD!~

Form 6 is full of activities for me since I have changed alot during NS. I became active, a volunteer and helpful after ns thats why I m involved in quite a number of activities in Form 6. Just take this week for example, I had 4 after-school-meetings in 5 days so I had to stay back till 3.30pm almost everyday to attend those meetings. If I was the old CD in form 5, you would have seen me complaining even though I m delayed after school just for 5 minutes. I guess I m willing to dedicate myself to those clubs that I have joined nowadays.

NS made me fell in love with Form 6's co-cocurriculum activities. I used to attend every club meeting in my previous school for the sake of 'koko' points, but now I m really trying hard to make myself a part of SMK Taman SEA's club committee. I m enjoying every activity held so far. Its satisfying to see what I planned and prepared together with the team to be presented and accepted by others. Thus taking post has been my motive to enable myself in taking decisions on choices and suggestions.

However, Form 6 is not easy. It provides us opportunities to take on most of the post available in a club, but it comes with lots of studies and homework to be done. I have to admit I havent been studying much and handing in homework on time since I always drop-dead on the bed once I reach home everyday due to overfatigued. Once dozed off I think it will take at least another 2 hours to wake me up.

My mum promised me a car if I managed to get myself into form 6. And yes, I m in form 6 now. The car is here too. It wasnt long, but I think its getting rusty or covered with algae since its only left stationary at its spot most of the time. The prob is I still cant drive. I really wish I can practice my skills frequently so that I can drive to school asap. I just dislike waiting for my uncle to fetch me there and back everyday coz I'll have to wait for him till he comes. Its a waste of time.

This is the start of my Form 6 life. It could be worse or better in the future, but I hope that I m always myself that can control myself, humble and calm. Oh ya, I will need my friends to tell me my mistakes and weaknesses too coz ur my mirror and I expect you all to be honest and direct. You all is the key for me to change to a better person, towards a better life, for a better world =)

MuET Week!~ 7/7/2008~11/7/2008

FYI, MuET is a subject that what Pn. Carol calls 'Higher class English'. English is fun, so I suppose Muet will be fun too. Had lots of fun during MUet together with Pn. Carol when I was still in Seroja, but now its all about homework when you are stucked with Pn. Harminder in Teratai. She has the largest ears I have ever seen in my life~ I wonder if she comes out from the elves fairy tales or what.

I was informed about the MuET week 2 weeks ago. We were supposed to prepare for the MUet drama and we did but after Seroja spiltted into 2 class, Teratai only discussed once on the drama on their own after Seroja and Teratai decided to do their own drama. It doesnt matter anymore when you look at Pn. Harminder's attitude towards us when we wanted to use her period to discuss about it, even if its related to MuET. She must have hated drama very much ~_~

Nevermind lets get back to MUet week.

On tuesday, we had 'Win, draw or lose' and 'just a minute'. I signed up for Just A minute to practice my speaking skills infront of audience. I didnt thought of taking part in 'win, draw or lose' since I dont know how to play that. Fortunately, there weren't enough teams for the competition so they searched for people all over the place. Being on duty in Koperasi together with Sim Wuei, we were invited to join so we were very excited haha. It was easy; you get a question, draw and let your teammate guess. It seems easy, but it didnt turn out well for my team especially when I got the question 'Mission Impossible 3'. Oh my god, what can I draw?! Its really impossible. Maybe I m just not good in drawing, till they cant understand what I wanted them to guess =( I think my team got last in that competition.... The best was still Michelle's team that consisted of Seng Chye, Kentrick and Wai Yan. These smart people from Seroja really amazed us with their drawing skills and teamwork compability so I salute them =) In the end they won and they get to compete with seniors. Wai Yan is really a good artist as her drawing skills were good enough to express what she is trying to let the crowd guess. Although they lose to seniors, the score difference were just 2 so I think they are still kinda good =D

Just a Minute is quite easy yet most of us still failed to control our mouth. The rule is simple: you are supposed to talk on the topic given for a minute BUT you cant say the forbidden word. The word was 'and', a word that everyone use to link up their sentence. The star of this competition were Yong Fei and Sarah as they really can speak without using the forbidden word yet they entertained us with their creative way of speeching haha. Congratz to Yong Fei that has ruled this competition for two years since last year.

We were doing last minute work by planning the drama only on Tuesday so we dont have the time to practice. The script directors were Me, Chee Leong, Shu Ling and Sim Wuei. The main actors were me and Chee Leong. Guess what's our drama theme? The Homo's Life. Yup its a gay story... me and Chee Leong were the gays. Ever since from the start, I had never aimed for the competition but just playing this drama as an entertaining purpose to Form 6 students and to ourselves. In the end, it was gay enough to make them laugh and I felt happy because I achieved the motive: make the crowd laugh as much as possible. I even felt proud when I know that the crowd quiet down just to know what is happening in our drama. The script were funny enough(or probably too gay) till Sim Wuei laugh 'bwahahaha' before she narrate the drama.

On Friday, we had some unexpected seminar talk on 'how to obtain an interview'. It was useful and interesting so I will give the speaker 8/10. After recess, they had taboo running in my class. Its some guessing game again, but this time you can only describe it without face expressions; just words. There are prohibited words too. I took part together with Sim Wuei, Siau Chein and Shatish. Having the experience of not being able to express what I wanna say efficiently, I dare not take on the task of letting the teammates guess so Sim Wuei took the challenge. Unfortunately for us, the words were quite hard and Sim Wuei wasnt able to act for it. Its ok, Sim. Its just a game. As usual, Michelle's team performed well and they managed to drag the game to round three since they tied with Jessica's team for 2 times. In the end they still won. Congratz to Michelle and the gang!~

Overall, I actually took part in every competition that was held without me expecting it. Although I didnt win, I still find it fun and experience learning so I will definitely show myself more as much as possible in the upcoming events and competitions =)

Sports Day ---- 27/06/08

Surprisingly, SMK Taman Sea organized their Sports Day on 27th June this year. Compared to my previous school(SMK BU4), this is 3 months late and its a good thing for me because I get to participate in this event. =)

Two Weeks before the Sports Day, the committee of Blue House, Darren and Eng Eu ran all over the school just to recuit new marchers to get 30 marchers in total. I wondered why they got no one to take part. Since I was one of my NS camp best marchers, I decided to volunteer myself because I want to contribute to my house. I didnt know that there will be a marching competition so I march just for Blue House.

We started training on last Monday. The weather wasnt that hot and it encouraged me to go on. Unfortunately, the rest of the members except Yong Kang and Daniel were marching like undeads ~_~ I can march with my leg up to 90 degree, but as we go on it dropped till 45 degree together with my spirit since they were just too lazy to lift up their leg to the optimum height. I am not bragging myself, I think I m the top 3 marchers in that team since the rest has no spirit to march. They were just doing it for that 50 co-corriculum marks. Sigh.

Fortunately the situation gets better later on. I was happy because at least 90% of the team is able to synchronize after 5 days of training. With all the basics mastered on the 5th day, Eng Eu finally taught us the formation and Hakka Dance which he told us earlier. At least this school allows us to perform in marching after they banned POM POM(sport days will nvr be fun without pom pom =( ). The formation is a V shape and the hakka dance will be performed when we done the formation successfully. I wish there are pictures to be shown here.

We have always kept this hakka dance in secret so that no one else other than the team know what we have prepared. Its some secret weapon to us =P. It looks like some tribal dance, and I m familiar with it since we had other company performed it too during ns camp. We dont even know what were we chanting haha =X~

Finally on the Sports Day, we had the confidence to win after daily training of marching till 4.30pm (except for Sat and Sun). We reached the school around 6 because Eng Eu said he is going to 'decorate' us. Ok.... he painted our face half blue half white, gave us a dog bone necklace made out of cupboard, sprayed our hair into blue, gave us a head band that has shuttlecolt feathers on it and lastly, asked us to wear strings that has coconut leaves on it around our waist. We looked like some babarian that you cant even recognize who we are since our face were painted. *Will upload the pics soon*

During performance, we gave in our best and we shouted loudly when we should. For that, we had the audience cheered and clapped the loudest ever on that day especially when we do that hakka dance because the ending pose rox! All of this time I have been doing my best just to gain the best applause from the crowd for my house because that is what matters. We were happy that we did it with least mistakes after 10 days of training. *cried happily with tears*

At the end of the day, its where all the winners are announced. Marching and working as a team has brought 30 of us together and we shouted 'Hang Jebat' whenever any blue house member won a medal. We got 2nd for house decoration =) Finally, its time for the Marching Competition winner. The 2nd place goes to Green House and we clapped for them because they were the champ for marching last year. The first place goes to...... * drum rolls*....... Blue House! YAY after days of marching training and Hakka dance practiced secretly we won the competition =D
The Trophy is kinda big ^^ For the best house, green house won and we got 2nd. We still get a trophy so in total we got 3 gigantic trophy that shown the rest that we 'raided' the prize =)

Once the announcing part is finished, we immediately end the day with the last Hakka dance and it was fun to do it with lots of people looking at you and they cheered after we performed that nicely ^_^ After that, we went to our 'House' to take a big group pic together with all the trophies won.. This pic has captured all the glory and hardwork paid off because everyone were just too happy for winning the competition after training so hard and sacrificed their time. I took lots of picture and hopefully I can upload them here after my friends pass them to me since it was taken with my friends camera =)

In conclusion, I learnt a lesson that hardwork does pay off and this has strengthen my determination to study harder. I wish next year we can win the marching competition too ^^
