After almost a week spent visiting my hometown, I m finally able to shout 'home-sweet-home'. I missed my home too even though I had fun in my hometown. I soooooooo regret for not going back during CNY due to working in a no good restaurant that extra-chargers ppl with the stupid reason, "holiday that time no supply so price increase a LITTLE."
My hometown is located in SUngai Siput, Ipoh where all the rivers there were once filled with fish-eating piranna-ish snails till the penduduk there got scared.(the start of bullshitting since its a bull year) Since I have grown up, I no longer take my cousin's bicycle in my gandpa's house to cycle under the red hot sun. The backyard behind the house which was used to be filled with chickens and ducks got cleared and turned into a housing restaurant so that my grandparents can work orelse they could be Alzheimer's patient now. MY grandma serves delicious laksa and the customers there shall return frequently after CNY so you can imagine how busy she will get.
I remembered I used to have lots of things to do in hometown when I still dont know how to appreciate girls. THe 1st thing I will do after I washed up in the morning will be cycling around the neighbourhood. Its so safe there till my mom wouldnt say a second word other than 'go la'. Then when its too hot to cycle, I will get my siblings and cousins to the backyard to catch chickens. I was like the naughty kid that lead the 'chicken chasers' to the backyard everytime as i love it when the chickens ran around and make noise. Well the adults didnt like it yet they couldnt scold me since CNY is ard the corner =P I used to bring my playstation back to play with my cousins and friends, go around visiting parents friends and a lot more.... but no longer doing that after I grew up. CNY is just so boring if we can only stayed home and wait for ppl to visit us and give ang pao. Fortunately, as we are getting matured we are allowed to gamble like how adults do. Other than that, we can only watch TV....
On the 2nd day of CNY we went to stay in my mom's hometown in Pokok Sena, Kedah. Thats the place where laksa is famous and trust me, every relative of mine there knows how to cook laksa and some even came out with their own unique flavour of laksa. I knew because I tasted them =P Just like in Ipoh, there's nothing left to do since I have grown up. WE cant just do kiddy things anymore =( And so, we gambled there too.
Yeah yeah... Gamble everywhere... but hey, thats the thing that kept us all together. Even adults gamble with us this year ^_^ Well this is all due to the new rule I have introduced in blackjack. Its named 'double up' and 'run'. I wouldnt want to corrupt the minds of the ppl here so I wouldnt explain it here. THe adults were stunned when they get to know these rules because with the bet of RM1 as a player, you might lose up to RM 32(the highest record there) due to multiples of two. that really gave the adrenalin rush to adults there as they could win alot or lose alot. This could sound funny, but its a way my family are bonded and laugh at each other as the cards decide how loud it will get. This year sure is a great CNY with the intereaction with adult relatives on the gamble table even though I lost rm 60+ being a jonker otherwise it will be a cold CNY.
Anyway sch is starting soon so I better stopped gambling and focus on what's ahead of me as there are lots of unexpected events waiting for us. I hope the rest of my friends had a great celebration and big Ang PaoS and to my schmate, we shall meet again in school =)
